Through prayer, guided reflection, and conversations with your spouse, you’ll explore your marriage story, your shared joys and struggles, and how God may be calling you to serve together.

You know your marriage is a vocation. But you may not yet have recognized how your particular marriage can shine Christ’s light into the world.
Or you may sense that calling, but need a shared way to discern and live it together.
This Workshop helps you recognize the gifts and experiences God has given you as a couple and explore how He may be calling you to use them.
Your Mission might involve hospitality, accompanying other couples, supporting families, serving your parish, or witnessing through your ordinary life together.
It will almost certainly come out of something you’re already doing, approached with greater intention.

Session #1 (November 1): Your Relationship Story
Look back at your story together. Recognize your shared gifts and explore how God has already been working in your marriage.
Session #2 (November 8): Your Joys and Struggles
Reflect on the experiences that have shaped you and how they may prepare you to accompany and serve others.
Session #3 (November 15): Your Mission
Bring your reflections together into a Marriage Mission Statement and a three-month action plan, with simple ways to recognize progress.

Mark and Gayle Heyman
Mark is a clinical psychologist working with people with Type 1 Diabetes. Gayle has worked at their parish for the past 12 years as the Director of Religious Education and Family Formation.
Mark and Gayle have been married 15 years. They love holding dinner parties and hosting people in their home.
They started Our Marriage Mission to help couples discern how God is calling them to bring the light of Christ to the world through their unique marriage.

Who is this workshop for?
This Workshop is designed for Catholic married couples who take their faith seriously and want to discern how their marriage can bring Christ’s light to the world.
Do we need to have a mission in mind?
No! This Workshop will take you through a process to help you discern the unique mission of your marriage.
Does living our mission mean taking on more commitments?
No. You mission will involve something are you already doing. Identifying your Marriage Mission will likely help you say no to commitments that are not aligned with your mission, rather than adding anything in.
Should we both attend?
Yes. The workshop is designed for you to participate together, with guided conversations between spouses.
Will the sessions be recorded?
Yes! All sessions will be recorded and you will get access to the recordings after each session.
What if we can't make one of the sessions?
While live attendance is best, we understand that your schedule may be full. All sessions will be recorded and you will get access to all session recordings.
Is the price per person or per couple?
The $299 registration covers both spouses and all three sessions.
